Scenario
During the installation of Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition on a Microsoft Exchange 2010 server, the following error message is displayed:
ERROR: Error 28001. The cmdlet Exchange PowerShell Agent Registration is not available
When doing the installation with msiexec logging enabled, a more detailed error message is displayed:
ERROR: Error 28001. The cmdlet is not available the Exchange PowerShell Agent Registration. System.Management.Automation.PSArgumentException: The Windows PowerShell snap-in "Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.Admin" is not installed on this computer. at System.Management.Automation.PSSnapInReader.ReadOne (RegistryKey mshSnapInRoot, String mshsnapinId) at System.Management.Automation.Runspaces.MshConsoleInfo.AddPSSnapIn (String mshSnapInID) (String name, PSSnapInException & warning) in System.Management.Automation.Runspaces.RunspaceConfigForSingleShell.DoAddPSSnapIn at Exclaimer.Install.Core.CustomActions.CoreActions.RegistrationHelper.GetRunspace () at Exclaimer.Install.Core.CustomActions.CoreActions.RegistrationHelper.RunCommand (Command cmnd) at Exclaimer.Install.Core.CustomActions.CoreActions.RegistrationHelper.UnregisterAgentRouting(CoreAgentInfo Agent) at Exclaimer.Install.Core.CustomActions.CoreActions.RegistrationHelper.RollbackAgentRegistration () (Session session, Action`1 action) at Exclaimer.Install.Core.CustomActions.CoreActions.RunAction
Resolution
To resolve this issue will require making changes to the registry.

- Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click on Regedit.exe.
- On the left pane of the Registry Editor, navigate to:
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange - On the left pane of the Registry Editor, delete the registry key v8.
- Close the Registry Editor.
- Install Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition.
