This article guides you through the steps to upgrade from Mail Disclaimers to Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition.
To upgrade, follow the steps outlined below:

Download the Signature Manager Exchange Edition from the website.
- Install Signature Manager Exchange Edition.

To download the Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition:
- Click here to download the Signature Manager Exchange Edition installation file.
Installing Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition
This is an in-place upgrade of the Mail Disclaimers product and will update the core application only.
All template and policy data will be retained during the upgrade.
To install the Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition:
- Run the Signature Manager Exchange Edition installation file Setup.exe on each Microsoft Exchange Server that has the Hub Transport role (Exchange 2010) or Mailbox role (Exchange 2013 onwards) installed.
- You can get the MSI from Exclaimer support by Raising a Ticket online.
Notes: During the installation process, all the configuration settings will be intact - you won’t need to recreate any templates or enter any configuration settings into the new version.
However, as a precaution, you can export your configuration settings.
Once the installation is complete, no further configuration is required and the product is operational.
During the uninstallation process, the Microsoft Exchange Transport service will be restarted.
The configuration files are located in the following folder and will not be removed as part of the uninstall process:

Exporting Configuration Settings
To export your existing configuration settings:
- Open the Exclaimer Console.
- Select the Exclaimer node.
- Open the Action menu.
- Select Export Configuration...
- Select a location and file name for the export then click Save.
