You want to configure an auto response for when someone sends an email to an alias address of a user.
As alias addresses are resolved to the Primary SMTP address by Exchange before Auto Responder processes the email, the policy conditions need to be configured in a particular way to ensure that the Auto Responder Policy works as expected:
- Specify the condition "One or more message headers contains specific words or character sequences":
- Type "To" in the Header box and specify the alias address in the Value box:
- Click ok.
- Save your changes.
