Upgrading Exclaimer Email Alias Manager for Exchange Transport Agent

This article guides you through the steps to upgrade Exclaimer Email Alias Manager for Exclaimer Transport Agent.

 
To upgrade, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Download the latest version of the Exclaimer Email Alias Manager for Exclaimer Transport Agent
    from the website,

  2. Install the latest version of the Exclaimer Email Alias Manager for Exclaimer Transport Agent
    downloaded.

  3. Upgrade the Outlook Add-in.

  4. Install Exclaimer Email Alias Manager Outlook Add-In.

Downloading Exclaimer Email Alias Manager 

To download the Exclaimer Email Alias Manager for Exclaimer Transport Agent: 

  • Right-click here to download the latest version of the Email Alias Manager installation file.

Installing Exclaimer Email Alias Manager 

To install the Exclaimer Email Alias Manager for Exclaimer Transport Agent: 

  1. Run the Email Alias Manager for Exchange installation file Setup.exe on the computer where Email Alias Manager for Exchange is currently installed.

    Note: During the upgrade (installation process), all the configuration settings will be intact - you won’t need to enter any configuration settings into the new version.

    Once the installation is complete, no further configuration is required and the product is operational.

    No reboot is required.


    The configuration files are located in the following folder and will not be removed as part of the uninstall process: 

    Operating System Configuration Directory
    Window Server 2008 and Up \ProgramData\Exclaimer Ltd\Anti-spam\Configs

Upgrading the Outlook Add-in

Once the Exclaimer Email Alias Manager for Exchange Transport Agent has been upgraded, you will find the updated installer for the Outlook Add-in within the install directory.

The default location is:

C:\Program Files\Exclaimer Ltd\Email Alias Manager

Installing Exclaimer Email Alias Manager Outlook Add-In

To install the Exclaimer Email Alias Manager Outlook Add-In: 

    1. Run the Exclaimer Email Alias Manager Outlook Add-In MSI file to perform an in-place upgrade of your existing Outlook Add-In.
      Note:
      - For 64bit Windows, run the Exclaimer.EmailAliasManager.OutlookAddIn.x64.msi
      - For 32bit Windows, run the Exclaimer.EmailAliasManager.OutlookAddIn.x32.msi

      Once the installation is complete, no further configuration is required and the product is operational.
